“Even when the dark comes crashing through, when you need someone to carry you, when you’re broken on the ground. You will be found.” – Dear Evan Hansen

Mental Health has always been an extremely important topic to me. I have openly struggled with my own mental health issues for years, and know many others who have as well. As a society, I believe it is essential to end the stigma around mental health. There is no reason to be ashamed, no reason to be scared to ask for help, and no reason why others should judge you for dealing with personal mental health issues. We have been conditioned to hide how we are truly feeling and pretend to be ok no matter how we are feeling inside. When we have those feelings of hopelessness, despair, self-hatred, or anything else, the best thing to do is reach out and tell someone and get whatever help you need. No matter what you are feeling or where you are, it is possible for you to feel better. It will be a long journey, require lots of hard work, and you will have somedays where you feel like giving up no matter how far you come, but in the end it is all worth it.

The purpose of my positivity page is to send helpful messages to others, share the little joys I find in my day, and let everyone know they are not alone.

Here I am going to put the national suicide prevention hotline. It is available to be called 24/7 and will provide you with help if you are in crisis mode. 1-800-273-8255
